MSNBC anchor refuses to report on Paris.

MSNBC anchor Mika Brzezinski repeatedly refused to report on the Paris Hilton story yesterday morning. At one point, she even attempted to burn her cue cards. An emotional Brzezinski emotionally proclaimed, “I’m not doing it. I’m not doing the story.” At which point, host Joe Scarborough called for MSNBC to show video footage of Hilton. [...]

Give me that old time segregation

Tom Tancredo
The Great White Hope

Dear Rep. Tancredo,

In previous presidential primary seasons, your hatred of brown people would make you the top contender for the GOP Nomination. Unfortunately for you, this isn't a typical primary season.

It's going to be hard for you to out-white Mitt Romney. That guy has to be one of the top ten whitest men in America. His campaign must spend a fortune on mayonnaise.

And Giuliani's doing much better with the base than a Catholic with ancestral ties to the swarthy part of Europe should. He's doing a great job of recruiting the most heritage-minded staffers to run his campaigns in Mudcat's America.

That's really the heart of your problem. Our base reveres tradition, and hating brown people just isn't as cherished a tradition in the Heartland as hating black people. Giuliani understands this, so he's working the opinion leaders in the heritage defense organizations and the white Citizens Councils much harder than you are.

It's not too late to turn things around. All you need to do is exploit a couple of recent events to beef up your black-people-hating bona fides. First, there's yesterday's Supreme Court ruling that integration is a form of racism which effectively overturns Brown v. The Board. It provides you with an excellent opportunity to pander to our base by bemoaning the sad sorry plight of the white Christian male.

The second event is the recent racial strife that occur ed in Jena, Louisiana when outside agitators incited a few black kids to attempt to integrate their high schools "Whites Only" shade tree. The school's George Allen Heritage Appreciation Club responded in the traditional manner--they hung nooses festooned in the schools colors from the tree. Of course, the schools politically correct Principal responded by suspending the heritage defenders for a couple of days.

Anyway, I think you should go down to Jena and denounce the black students for committing racist acts of integration. Heck, why stop there? You should take an axe handle down there and re-establish the cherished traditional value of segregation in the Heartland. The base will love you for it.

I'd be glad to help you out with the details, although I think it's fairly straightfoward. All you need to do is chase the black kids away from the whites only tree. I don't believe you'll need to find them a separate but equal tree. Surely, Lieberman's boys, Roberts and Alito, would tell you they overturned Plessy too. They'd undoubtedly argue that it's racist to take resources that could benefit white kids and use them to build equal facilities for black students.

Anyway, I hope this has been helpful to you. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Heterosexually yours.

Gen. JC Christian, patriot

Coulter defended CPAC comment about Edwards: "I
wasn't saying it on TV"

During an interview on the June 27 edition of CNN HeadlineNews' Glenn Beck,right-wing pundit Ann Coulter defended acontroversial remark she made about Democratic presidential candidate JohnEdwards during the 2007 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) byclaiming, "I wasn't saying it on TV. I was saying it at aright-wing political convention with 7,000 college Republicans. I didn'tput it on TV." In fact, Coulter's March 2 CPAC speech -- duringwhich she said she[...]

So, How Strong Is Gore's Support

Usually, when Gore is included in presidential polling, he registers no higher than 20% (Pollster's national average has him at 15.5%.) So how to explain yesterday's stunner of a poll out of NH that shows that if Gore were to enter the race, he'd take[...]

More Thoughts On The Supreme Court

John mentioned the Alito confirmation in his post earlier about the SCOTUS decision, I looked for a more big picture consideration of this court. Certainly, it is one of the most divisive courts in memory, with a huge percentage of the decisions handed down with a 5-4 majority and the dissenting justices all vociferously [...]

Ignoring his colleagues, CNN's Blitzer repeatedly
suggested only Democrats voted for subpoenas

On the June 27 edition of CNN's The Situation Room, host Wolf Blitzer repeatedlysuggested that only Senate Democrats subpoenaed the White House and VicePresident Dick Cheney's office, seeking documents about theadministration's warrantless domesticwiretapping program. Blitzer continued to frame the news as a confrontationbetween Democrats and the Bush administration even though CNN correspondentsDana Bash and Elaine Quijano and Democratic strategist Paul Begala all pointedout during[...]

More Friendly Republican Advice to Dems on
Abortion

by shamanic

Michael Gerson, go read this and then shut your trap. The Democratic position on abortion--that it should be safe and legal and available to women who need it--is the position we're sticking with.

I'm sorry that your party went into a tailspin and appears likely to be out of power for a long, long time, but you've got to be kidding me if you think the ascendant opposition party would benefit from taking on the failed party's ideas.

Why do you think your party collapsed, anyway? Do you think it could have anything at all to do with the obsessive GOP fixation on private issues that the government has no business butting into anyway?

Anyway, thanks for the input. It clearly meant a lot to your boss, President 26%, and his administration of the lawless.
