You want to know why I hate the Repugs? Read on?

(In case it's hard to read, I should point out that some single-digit-IQ'd life form(s) spray painted a hammer and sickle on the front of the new Obama campaign office in Doylestown, Pa.)

Now, for a change of subject, get a load of this asshat being interviewed ? the miners weren?t required to attend the Romney event, but attendance was still ?mandatory?? And of course, in case anyone didn?t want to attend but just show up to the mine to work, the mine was closed for ?safety reasons?? And according to ?federal law?? Really??

And in the matter of ?payment,? this Rob Moore idiot says, ?well, according to FEC law, we couldn?t pay them to attend the event.? The question has to do with payment for the job the miners weren?t allowed to perform because they had to attend Romney?s photo-op, you slug!!

?meanwhile, Rachel Maddow brings us a Tampa edition of ?Debunktion Junction? (the last minute is a real hoot given the fools and frauds dispensing methane there this week)?

8:04 PM PT: Chuck Todd thinks Chris Christie topped Ann Romney's speech. Didn't seem like that to me. I thought her speech was much better than Christie's speech, and I think Christie showed no grace or class by failing to recognize her speech.

8:05 PM PT: Christie's speech was about nothing really, except being about himself. Charles Krauthammer is trying to defend it's "subtlety" though he admits it was "a little bit curious" that Christie didn't mention Romney until the end. You know my view?I thought it was a bad speech.

8:07 PM PT: I'm in Columbus, Ohio right now. None of the local news casts are currently reporting on the convention. Two are on the hurricane, and one is on a series of carjackings here in town.

8:07 PM PT: Barb said the same thing was true for Maryland TV.

Nor is it wise to talk about shared sacrifice when centerpiece of your campaign is a big tax cut for upper-income earners.

I am trying to watch the GOP convention. Trying. Between John Boehner's "man walks into a bar" joke, and the whole "you didn't build that" theme, (I think we all know who built it, and we did it free of charge) I am starting to think that the strip bars in Tampa are going to be filling up a bit early tonight. *yawn*

I am just waiting for my friend from New Jersey to tear himself away from the buffet table and give his speech. It should be interesting. I am sure that as a pro choice politician from the Northeast corridor he won't be talking about things like abortion. And, given his party's position on that issue, that's probably a good thing. Governor Chris will be the guy to tear that Obama fellow a new one, and my wingnut friends are hoping and praying that he will deliver.

Rick Santorum is speaking now. He is talking about life and liberty and how we must kick the beige dude out of the people's house "for the sake of our children". Of course Rick is talking about the unborn again. Rick really cares a lot about the unborn, the kids who are here and living in poverty on the other hand; not so much.

Ann Romney is going to give a speech as well. She will be the one trying to "humanize" her husband. Good luck with that. I can't say anything bad about Mrs. Romney. The poor lady has had to overcome so much. (No, not living with a robot for all these years.) She deserves our praise. Even if she has to brag to us that she shops at Costcos. (Memo to Mrs. Romney, that is nothing to brag about. That ought to be reason enough not to vote for your husband. Now I know where he gets those f****d up looking jeans.)

Artur is talking now. I would like to listen to what he is saying but I just can't. Because honestly, I have heard that song before, and the dance he is doing to it still looks the same. I know Artur, you are still mad at Obama because he didn't talk to you at Harvard.

I still haven't heard any of the republican speakers send their prayers to the people of the Gulf Coast. Seven years after Katrina, those poor folks are looking at another b***h slap from the gal upstairs. Artur should have started his speech by saying let's keep those folks on the Gulf Coast in our thoughts and prayers, but he didn't. He just couldn't wait to get into his jig.

So while the republicans party in Tampa, their fellow Americans are looking at a potential disaster just hundreds of miles away. The imagery couldn't be more fitting.

But the GOP is a big tent party that isn't at all racist, I swear.

An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said ?This is how we feed animals? before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.

Keep it classy, Republicans.

7:36 PM PT: I wonder how long it will take for Chris Christie to congratulate Ann Romney on her speech.

7:39 PM PT: We're now several minutes into Chris Christie's speech. Unless I missed it, he hasn't recognized Ann Romney's speech, nor has he recognized Mitt Romney, who is in the convention hall with his wife.

7:40 PM PT: So far, the speech is: "Memememememememememememe." And: "We've become paralyzed by our desire to be loved." That almost sounds like a shot at a pander bear like Mitt Romney.
