N-now th-th-that that don't kill me
Can only make me stronger
The above lyrics to "Stronger" is a widely held moral belief that what does not kill someone makes them stronger. They are admirable lyrics that perfectly coincide with the title of the song. Here's where things get hairy:
Let's get lost tonight
You can be my black Kate Moss tonight
Play secretary im the boss tonight.
Why do the producers of this video use Cassie, who is a talented singer in her own right, represent the "black Kate Moss" Kanye is referring to in the lyrics? If you watch the video in it's entirety, Cassie, who is a gifted singer... is reduced to eye candy. Check out the latest cover of Complex Magazine.

By the way, "Complex is a metropolitan men's style/lifestyle magazine founded by Marc Ecko in 2002. The publication offers mainstream readers insight into the latest trends in urban America's niche cultures, such as streetwear, sneaker culture, hip hop, and graphic art." [link]
Complex always has two different covers. One cover is a male superstar and the other side is a female superstar. In the above magazine covers, Kanye's title reads, "Guest editor Kanye West talks style with T.I." while the other side of the magazine cover with Cassie reads, "Kanye West gets Cassie to Reveal all Inside".

MORE than half of all Australians believe George W. Bush is the worst president in American history, a new poll shows. The Galaxy poll, commissioned by the Medical Association for the Prevention of War (MAPW), found 52 per cent of Australians believed Mr Bush was the United States' worst-ever president.
Just 32 per cent said he was not, while the remainder were undecided.
MAPW spokesman Robert Marr said it was timely for gauging the Australian public's view of the US president, who will arrive in Sydney for the APEC summit today.
"We thought it was important to get an accurate opinion of Australians' views towards President Bush," Dr Marr told ABC radio today.
"And whether they agree with former president Jimmy Carter that George (W.) Bush was actually the worst president of US history.
"The result was there is a clear majority of Australians who believe George (W.) Bush is the worst ... and that is based primarily on his Iraq war policy."
Oh, and Bush ally John Howard?
Meanwhile, the latest Newspoll survey, conducted for "The Australian" newspaper last weekend, showed Opposition leader Kevin Rudd's Labor Party's primary vote soaring to 51 per cent and Howard's Coalition party falling to 37 per cent.
On the basis of preference flows at the last election, the two-party-preferred vote gives Labor an 18-point lead, 59 per cent to 41 percent.
If those figures were reproduced at an election, the Howard government would be reduced to a rump in Parliament, with about a dozen ministers losing their seats, including Howard in his Sydney electorate of Benelong.
It's the war.

Add to myYahoo! Was it yesterday? One month ago? Three months ago? Six months ago? Nine? A year? Two years? It's always the same bunk, just another day and it's never any more or less accurate or serious or related to the reality on the ground. It's just spin.
"I think the next three to four months are critical," [Lt. General] Odierno told reporters. "I think that if we can continue to do what we are doing, we'll get to such a level where we think we can do it with less troops."

Add to myYahoo!Kudos to Markos and Daily Kos. The FEC issued an important ruling today, finding that blogs are media and like all media since 1974, media activity has been explicitly exempted from federal campaign finance regulation:
The Federal Election Commission announced today that it has unanimously resolved two complaints alleging that Internet blog activity is subject to Commission regulation, finding that the activity is exempt from regulation under the media or volunteer exemption.
In Matter Under Review (MUR) 5928, the Commission determined that Kos Media, L.L.C., which operates the website DailyKos, did not violate the Federal Election Campaign Act. The Commission rejected allegations that the site should be regulated as a political committee because it charges a fee to place advertising on its website and it provides “a gift of free advertising and candidate media services” by posting blog entries that support candidates. The Commission determined that the website falls squarely within the media exemption and is therefore not subject to federal regulation under the Act.
With respect to MUR 5928, the FEC found that Kos Media meets the definition of a media entity and that the activity described in the complaint falls within the media exemption. Thus, activity on the DailyKos website does not constitute a contribution or expenditure that would trigger political committee status. The Commission therefore found no reason to believe Kos Media, DailyKos.com, or Markos Moulitsas Zuniga violated federal campaign finance law.
