I had thought the best line of the campaign season was Joe Biden's definitive smackdown of Rudy Giuliani, "There's only three things he mentions in a sentence: a noun, and a verb and 9/11."
But I now think it's this one from Michelle Obama: "I am what an investment in public education looks like."
In fact, her speech (overshadowed somewhat by Oprah and Maria Shriver) was probably the best speech of the campaign season to date. You can catch it here.

Add to myYahoo! My travel blog just published it’s annual New Orleans report. It reminded me of this song I remember Dr. John and Jools Holland doing around 6-7 years ago, “The Hand That Changed It’s Mind.” Swing hard enough for ya?00

Add to myYahoo! The results are from American expats living in Indonesia. Don't forget to get out and vote today if you are a Democrat living outside of the US. Check out the Democrats Abroad site to get more details and make sure you have the proper documents. Here in Paris, there has been a lot confusion due to too many emails from the Democrats Abroad in Paris, none of which really explained what was happening, how it worked or what it meant. That's pretty much business as usual for the group but if you can make it to one of the polling stations, check out the list and vote.
Be sure to ask about when our expat votes are going to be counted in a general election while you're there. The organization seems to be moving in the right direction, but could certainly use some help in Washington. There are roughly six million Americans living abroad, so that ought to count for something.
