I am still waiting for some country and western singer to declare that Barack Obama doesn't care about white people. The white version of Katrina is playing itself out in New York these days. (I see you Staten Island) Folks were crying on television last night and wondering where their government was. One woman, bless her heart, was crying that she didn't have food and hadn't slept or taken a bath in days. They were blaming the Red Cross and the folks in Manhattan for overlooking them. Thankfully, the Mayor of New York had enough sense to cancel the NY Marathon this year.

It's still too early to blame O, but you know it's coming if these people don't get power and electricity, soon. FEMA is giving it the old college try, and, for the most part, the states and their officials all seem to be doing what they have to do. But this is the East Coast, and tempers are getting shorter as supplies get scarce.

At least O didn't do a flyover.

The worse thing that could happen to us poor folks here in Pistolvania is Mitt Romney and his crew thinking that they have a shot to win the state. Now, unfortunately, we are being inundated with political ad. after ad. Mitt throws em out there, and Barack responds. I am seeing more of Mitt and Barack now than I did while watching the debates. Not to mention these ads that all the super PACs are running. Help me, please!!

Anyway, I am not sure how all these last minute ads will shape up things. Folks have pretty much made up their minds by now. If they haven't, they probably won't even vote.

Here in Philly (and I suspect other places) these Negroes have already made up their minds. Trust me when I tell you that they will be on that O train. But will it be enough? In Western Pistolvania and other places like it, the other guy will be getting their vote. It Pistolvania it will come down to a few suburban counties (I see you Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery) where suburban college educated white women will decide if they will give Obama another chance, or if they will take a chance with Flipper.

Campaign Trackers Turn Poll Watchers As Election
Nears

They spent the campaign season stalking Republican candidates and looking for YouTube-worthy gaffes. Now, a group of 19 trackers with a liberal super PAC will have a new target on Election Day: disenfranchised voters.

The trackers, who are affiliated with the American Bridge 21st Century super PAC, will be dispatched on Tuesday to key battleground states, including Colorado, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. Their plan is to document testimonials from voters who run into problems at the polls.

American Bridge put out a news release on Friday that said trackers will be looking for "unusually long lines, enforcement of non-existent voter ID requirements, excessive use of provisional ballots, limited accessibility to the polling location," as well as false information form poll workers.

"Under the guise of combating a problem in voter fraud that is virtually non-existent, states have not only overlooked, but actually helped fuel, voter suppression," the head of American Bridge, Rodell Mollineau, said in the release. "I'm glad that American Bridge is able to lend our resources, experience, and expertise to documenting examples of voter intimidation that deter people from exercising their right to vote on Election Day, but are often forgotten soon after."

While the trackers have previously been paid by the super PAC, the Election Day project will be funded by organization's tax exempt 501(c)4 arm, which does not have to reveal its donors. Chris Harris, spokesman for the organizations, declined to provide a breakdown of where the trackers would be deployed.

Harris said American Bridge trackers will be particularly interested in True the Vote, a Tea Party-affiliated organization that set a goal of training a million poll watchers this election cycle. He also said the trackers will be looking at poll monitors in Wisconsin who were reportedly encouraged to go incognito by the Romney campaign.

Governor Snyder... Take down the false ads
against Prop 2!

Corporate special interests have spent nearly $30 million on ads attacking collective bargaining, fear mongering and trying to intimidate supporters of Prop 2. They want to silence your voice and eliminate the fundamental right to collectively bargain for fair wages, benefits and safe working conditions that benefit us all.

Just yesterday, media outlets reported that working families?those who stand to benefit from collective bargaining the most?received fake phone calls from a shadow group posing as teachers against collective bargaining. What?s worse is that the shady corporate special interests didn?t even deny their dirty tricks when asked.

Michigan?s Democratic members of Congress sent a letter to the Governor urging him to call for an end to these lies and dirty tactics. Will you ask him the same?

The attacks on working families don?t stop there?even parents aren?t exempt. Billionaires like Dick DeVos tried to intimidate the Michigan PTA for endorsing Proposal 2 by filing a bogus lawsuit challenging their tax status, because the PTA stood up against the lies from corporate special interests.

Proposal 2 doesn?t eliminate criminal background checks for school employees, or safety requirements for bus drivers as corporate special interests have spent millions saying in TV ads.

Law enforcement professionals, elected officials and third party fact-checkers such as FactCheck.org exposed these lies.

Yet Governor Snyder has dodged addressing these ads and instead spent his bus tour this week telling voters to vote NO on 2. He claims to stand against bullying and dirty politics, but he supports a campaign built on a mountain of lies.

Tell Governor Snyder that these lies are not acceptable. We urge you to stand up for your collective bargaining rights and write him a letter saying enough is enough! Take down the false ads against Prop 2.
