• So much for @ScottKWalker's union busting scheme to turn Wisconsin red. A court struck it down on Friday afternoon, finding it violated both the state and federal constitutions. This doesn't mean, however, that collective bargaining rights are back in effect for public employees, because without a doubt Governor Wanker will appeal.

• No, Jim DeMented, teachers aren't thugs, but you're an assclown. The deranged confederate was railing against the Chicago teachers who have been on strike all week because the conditions in the schools have deteriorated to the point that there is no teaching or learning going on in their classrooms. Believe me when I tell you this -- teaching is a hard fucking job. I am married to a teacher and used to be one myself. I lasted three semesters and went back to working traumas. When you have more than twenty kids in a classroom, it's difficult to teach. When you have 40 or more, it's impossible. You're no longer a teacher, you're a babysitter. Unless you teach high school. Then you're a contraceptive.

• Brother Benen has the tally. He has been chronicling Mitt's Mendacity for 34 weeks now and has documented hundreds of lies. Literally, not figuratively.

• Ninety-one years is a long time to peddle the same lie, especially when "clean coal" is no closer to being true now than it was in 1921 when it was first floated.

• Wait...What? I could have sworn that Mittens was sticking up for the makers of that awful anti-Islam film just a couple of days ago, and insisting he would "never apologize for our values," and presumably he meant free speech, but on Friday he admitted that it was a terrible idea. Of course, he wouldn't have had to reverse himself if he had just kept his craven trap shut until the facts were in, instead of rushing off to score political points before the bodies of our diplomats were even cold.

• Yes, Lord, it's hard to be from here sometimes. If people from other states aren't offering to "show me" . . . whatever . . . they know of some stupid antic our state lege has pulled, or even worse, they know who Jim "Gateway Pund-idiot" Hoft is and ask what the hell is wrong with us, is it something in the water. Wonkette is (as usual) right. The Great White Dope really is the stupidest fucking guy on the internet. And that's a high bar to clear.

• You read this site, not Gateway Pundit, so you aren't a moron and don't believe that the Marines at the embassies overseas aren't keeping their lone bullet in their pocket like Barney Fife. But in case you have a crazy aunt, paranoid uncle or tetched third-cousin-twice-removed who will send you a chain email tomorrow, send them back this link. It's utter bullshit.

• If you still thought Romney was qualified, this will change your mind. He's a Snooki fan. And if a grown man, 65 years old, even knows who she is, he's disqualified for the presidency, no "ifs" "ands" or "buts" about it.

• Paul Ryan pours gas on the fire in the middle east Appearing at the so-called "Value Voters Summit" (because hatred and bigotry are christianist values, you know) he made Sarah Palin look nuanced and diplomatic when he slandered the President and his administration and trashed the leadership of the countries that have been sites of protests after that ridiculous movie was promoted by religious nuts here and there. Lawrence O'Donnell is right -- he is just the latest losing vice presidential candidate who will never be president.

• Here's proof positive that Obama will win...Dick Morris has put his name to an article at RCP insisting Romney will win. And Dick Morris is never, ever right about anything.

...and finally, a little midnight-music. Four of the best America has to offer came home on Friday, under the same flag they lived their lives in service to. This is for them.
