Convenes: 3:00pm
Morning Business with senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each.Votes:
There will be no roll call votes on Monday, September 22.
Another long week of suspensions ahead of us, this time to pass the hours while the leadership of the House works out the details of both a continuing resolution and the proposed taxpayer bailout of everything in the world.
And you want to hear something nuts? The Congress this week is going to pass a CR in order to keep the government funded, because they didn't pass most of the regular appropriations bills, reason being that they came to see it was ridiculous to hand over billions upon billions of dollars to this president, who uses his veto crayon to force Congress to pass bills with virtually no oversight and no controls over how the money is spent.
But what else will the Congress try to pass this week?
Yes, the $700 billion bailout with virtually no oversight and no controls over how the money is spent.
Plus a planned 69 Post Office namings, National XYZ days, etc.
