Loose-cannon McCain as well as his loose-cannon surrogates just keep outdoing themselves in the Strange Strategy department, which actually is nothing more than a hastily gathered assortment of ill-conceived, madcap tactics.

Forget for a moment, if you can, the weekend rollout of Sarah Palin's nasal bombardment of Obama over a New York Times article whose dismissive "conclusion," writes Adam Nagourney dismissively this morning, she somehow "sidestepped." And forget McCain's Daffy Ducklike handsprings yesterday over Obama's "touchiness," which has John inviting us into the throes of his sudden but deep "concern."
