Katrina vanden Heuvel opposes waterboarding. So did Theodore Roosevelt. Elsewhere, The Hartford Courant editorializes against Mukasey, and four retired Judge Advocates General have written to Patrick Leahy calling waterboarding inhumane and illegal. Members of the Senate about to approve Mukasey - especially Ms. Feinstein and Mr. Schumer of the Senate Judiciary Committee - please take note.
