Jenna Jameson Schools Clinton Eastwood on Romney Tax
Policy

Watch Study: Romney Tax Plan Would Most Benefit Wealthy Americans on PBS. See more from PBS NewsHour.

“It’s now more important than ever that we need Gov. Romney, and I’m going to be voting for him as I know most of you will be,” he said. “We’ve got to just spread the word and get the whole country behind this because it’s going to be an exciting election.” Eastwood said he excepted to Romney to “restore, hopefully, a decent tax system that we need badly.” – Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood endorses Romney [The Hill]

ON PBS this week, Judy Woodruff had a tax debate on what Mitt Romney’s tax plan would mean for Americans. Upshot from the Tax Policy Center (PDF): for the 1% it’s great; for the middle class it’s a disaster.

When endorsing Romney, Eastwood also had this to say, remembering back when Romney was running for governor of Massachusetts: “I said, `God, this guy is too handsome to be governor, but he does look like he could be president.?”

The candidate from central casting finally managed the perfect retort, while wooing donors: “He just made my day.”

Jenna Jameson, who endorsed Mitt Romney before Clinton Eastwood did, provided the perfect review of the Romney tax plan, which on paper doesn’t resemble anything like what Eastwood is touting.

“I’m very looking forward to a Republican being back in office,” Jameson said while sipping champagne in a VIP room at Gold Club in the city’s South of Market neighborhood. “When you’re rich, you want a Republican in office.” [Huffington Post via CBS San Francisco]
